moss pic is overexposed. If you're shooting manually, watch that meter. You can always brighten an image in post, but good luck trying to get detail out of those hotspots. That said, keep at it!

what was your setup for the moss shot? The focal point is odd looking. These shots are tricky with the very light background. I've used reflectors for these to boost the light. Then adjust to my liking in Lightroom

Nice. If the focal point was a little lower, and your depth of field was less shallow, it be even an even stronger image.

I used the 18mm lens on that shot. I think I had the apature to 17, the ISO to 100 and I the shutter speed to 80th of a second.
